SCHOOL

Last week my classmates went to London and unfortunetely I had to go to school. Most people didn't come, we only were about six or seven people in class.
The teachers were very upset and angry because so much people dind't come just because they didn't wanted to. I supose that they thought that the teachers won't advance the class but they don't care anyway. The people and teachers were very happy about the feeling we had in class because we only were the people who really wanted to learn, nobody was interrupting and also the teachers were much more relaxed that the others day. We didn't have homework to do too, because we had time to finish it all in class.
After school I had to help in the Café of my mother, the café is always full of people, so much that I don't understand from where all the people come from.
All in one, this were some really relaxing days and I enjoyed them.

Barbie vs Lammy

Every little girl dreamed to be like a Barbie, to have a perfect body, perfect skin, perfect hair and a perfect boyfriend, but most little girls don't unterstand that they are just dolls and that they don't exist in real life.
Lately, the criticism of Barbie was getting bigger, the unrealistic proportions of the plastic doll show young girls a false women picture.
Last year, appeared a picture with " Barbie with a normal body", and the whole world have celebrated this new normal doll. The american artist Nickolay Lamm has designed this doll and for the prototype, he used the body measurements of a 19-year-old average American women.
To make this reality they have oppened a Kickstarter project and called fans for help to finance the project. Those who pay 17 USD (approximately 12,34€)  gets the first edition of the new Babie, Lammy.

The Kickstarter project was a huge success, and the fans payed 95000 USD for Lammy going in production. Already on the second day, the project has collected more than the double because everyone wants to have a Lammy at home!

New Zealand

In this picture you can see New Zealand.
New Zealand and Australia are very similar but I have always prefered New Zealand, I don't know why.
For me, New Zealand was always a little big dream of mine, I always wanted to go there one day because it's seems to me like the perfect paradise. It's a country of stunning and diverse natural beauty. It's like an all in one island, you can see jagged mountains, rolling pasture land, steep fiords, large lakes, raging rivers, wonderful beaches and activ volcanic zones.
These islands are one of Earth's most peculiar bioregions, habited by flightless birds seen nowhere else such as a nocturnal parrot called Kakapo and Kiwi, wich are national symbols.
Another highlight of the islands are the glaciers. When somebody thinks about glaciers they woul situate them in the cold places, but New Zealand has several, the most famous are the Fox and Franz Josef glaciers in the Westland National Park.

I would love to travel to New Zealand because it often adds an adventure twist to nature, it's the original home of jet-boating and bungy jumping.

I hope this dream will come one day true, so I have started to planning my activities:
-Birdwatching
-Boat tours
-Bungy Jump at the Lake Taupo
-Canyoning
-Diving
-Hiking
-Ice Climbing
-Jetskiing
-Rafting
-Swimming with dolphins

Daniel Meyer

Daniel Meyer is a 16 years old boy. He seems like a normal teenager, just like his friends, but he isn't. Daniel came one month earlier to the world and lost his twin sister because she died shortly after birth, and unfortunately Daniel had a malformed heart.
Since 2004 he has a heart catheter and has to have always oxygen with him. If they would have a donor heart, it would be questionable if he would survive the surgery.
The last years, Daniel spent the time alone in his bedroom just waiting to die. He had so many wishes but his family cared too much so he never had the chance to make his dreams come true.
Far away from Daniel, was living the author Lars Amend. He was running away from his depression, so he flew to Rio de Janeiro to find the meaning of the life. He lived in a very poor neighborhood, where next to him died people because they hadn't enough to eat or because someone just killed them.
He went back to Germany to write a book about his experiences, but then he heard about Daniel. The author wanted to help the teenager and went to the hospital to visit him. Suddenly, Daniel was happier because Lars laughed and discussed with him, not like his parents just were always afraid of doing something wrong.
One evening they sat in Daniel's room, and Lars had the idea to make a list about his wishes, wich were:
-Stay in a 5-star hotel
-Kiss a girl
-Stay long awake
-Pass a day kidding people
-Smoke a cigarette
-A ride with a limousine through the city
-Go shopping cool clothes and shoes
-Eat the best spaghetti Carbonara in the world
-Record a song
-See Mama being happy
Lars made his wishes come true one by one. Both are now much more happier, the teenager was having fun the first time in his life and the writer has found a new sense of life.

Gap year

Today I will talk about the famous "GAP" year.
Some students, go a year abroad between high school and college. During this gap year, students engage in academic courses, especially to learn new languages. They have also the chance to do a volunteer work or a "travel and work" year.
The practice of taking time out developed in the United Kingdom during the 60's, but today it has become one of the biggest dreams for every student. It's a perfect opportunity to learn new languages, learn more about the cultures from other countries, make new friends and to live amazing experiences.
The most important reasons for students to go abroud could be:

- They want to see something else, and not always their own country.
- They want to go away from their parents.
- They want to live for the first time by their own.
- They are interested in other cultures and languages.
- They want to meet new people.
- They want to make a break from the studying, before going to college.

When I finish school, I will also make this experience. Not just for learning a new language, I will work and earn some money to pay the University.

A YEAR WITHOUT SHOPPING

Nunu is a trendsetter and blogger, in conclusion, she loves fashion.
This love turned every day more to an addiction, so she decided to this experiment: One year without shopping, no new clothes, no shoes and no handbags.

The Austrian girl loved to go through the stores and to buy new clothes, but she didn't knew her limits.
"I have shopped to distract me, because something in my life wasn't going well, but I definetily didn't bought the stuff because I needed it."
Even after a good day in the office, Nunu needed to go to the department stores. She didnt't know the reasons for the shopping trips, she just felt that she needed it and she wanted to feel the satisfying feeling afterwards, but this satisfaction never lasted long, the distances were getting shorter day after day.
"It's like a drug addiction, you needed everytime faster".
During this "shopping diet" she always asked herself: Do I want this? Do I really need it?, and this helped her a lot. She bought a book written by other girls who have tried it and they believe that it had made them happier.
Nunu, after finishing her shopping experience, is much more happier and thinks that it has helped her a lot, she has found a new way of living without spending money for unnecessary things.

Personally, I prefer to continue living with that motto:
