Is humour necessary?

Recently humour has become an important issue in our daily life because of the physical health, mental health and social benefits, but could we live without it?
First of all, a lot of studies have proved that laughter and humour binds people together plus increases hapiness. Humour also strenghtens our relationships because the best way to keep friends is laughing together and making fun of hilarious events and situations.
Personally, we use humour and laughter everyday to keep our friendship and we are the best example that this works.
In conclusion, humour has a lot of benefits and in our opinion i'ts absolutely necessary and don't forget that it's free and the best medicine for all the problems.

Starbucks lifts tattoo ban for workers, gives pay increase and a snack

Over the past months the employees of Starbucks drawn attention to themselves. The reason for this is the dissatisfaction with their working contitions, and that's why they are currently fighting for an improvement.
It all began in June with the employee Kristie Williams, who started a petition to change the tattoo policy, wich garnered 25,000 signatures. The company did not mind and in July, they threatened a young girl working in their shop in Michigan to fire her if she doesn't remove the heart tattooo on her hand.
The case of the employee in Michigan was just one of the few who has found his way into the media, so the coffeechain was forced to change their working conditions to avoid a bad image. Starbucks announced Thursday that they would change their dress policy and that they also would allow to show of the "tasteful" tattoos of the employees, as long as they don't are on the employee's neck or face. But they didn't announce only good news, they also added other dress code restrictions. These restrictions forbade to wear watches, bracelets or rings with stones, but they can at least wear their wedding rings.
In addition, they pay increases to baristas and supervisors, annual salary reviews for all employees, and the workers also get one free pastry per shift.
In my opinion, Starbucks is one of the most unjust companies that exist, and I would never work voluntarily for them, even if they change a few work conditions or not. All employees should be free to wear what they want and they should not be a disadvantage to find a job.

Dictionary:

-Forbade: verb to forbid, to prohibit.

Funny movie

I have watched a lot of funny movies in the past and I don't have a favourite one. I like them all but I never have watched a film that I found hilarious. The funnier movie I have seen this year is "A few best men", it's an Australian-British comedy film directed by Stephen Elliot in 2011.
The plot is about a young man, David, who proposes to his girlfriend Mia at the same day they meet in Australia. He has no family, so he invite his three best friends to the wedding. After arriving the trouble begins, his friends accidentally steal drugs, they also steal de father-in-law's favourite sheep and the whole wedding day ends in a total disaster. The best of the movie is that one of my favourite actresses, Fat Amy is also starring in the movie.
There aren't scenes that are funnier than others, there are all hilarious. So the best is to watch the full movie, but for now here is the trailer:

Drawing on humor for change

In this presentation the New Yorker cartoonist Liza Donnelly is explaining how humor can empower women to change the rules.
The truth is that there are plenty of role models all around us. There are our mothers, our cousins, our aunts, our sisters and of course, the most important thing, the media. They all try to tell us what we have to do, how we have to do it and what is good for us and what not. The only problems with these rules is that most women don't like them and they're not following them, and so Liza Donnelly. Donnelly has found her own solution for it, to change the rules with humor, and in her case drawing cartoons.
Because of this, she decided to become a cartoonist and with her drawings make the people think about the stupid rules that we're following.
In conclusion, I think she is right thinking that we can change this think one laugh at a time.
